Fenwick of Bond Street partners with the Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council to create a pop-up space, celebrating the work of ten UAE-based designers and brands and offering a unique platform for emerging talent from the region.
Launching on 10th July at the luxury department store, the pop-up shop will showcase a curated edit of contemporary ready-to-wear, jewellery and accessories from the selected designers. In addition, the UAE-based designers’ creations will take centre stage at Fenwick’s prestigious New Bond Street windows for a month.
The curated space will also serve to highlight the important work of Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council, and its role in creating a sustainable future for the crafts in the UAE and the region, by nurturing Emirati talent and entrepreneurial skills and introducing them to a global audience.
Of the ten participating designers, five are from the Azyame Fashion Entrepreneurs Programme, one of the council’s flagship projects that offers one-to-one support for the next generation of UAE designers through a mix of workshops and business mentoring opportunities for one year and delivered in partnership with the London College of Fashion.
Fenwick, well known for its distinctiveness and innovation, is proud to partner with Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council; sharing its passion to expand the presence of local talent beyond the Middle East, as part of Fenwick’s ongoing commitment to promoting and nurturing the best of emerging International design.
